With more than 12 years of project management and sustainability strategy consulting experience involving international agencies, government, and the private sector, Antonio brings a wealth of experience to his work at BSR. He currently focuses on stakeholder engagement and sustainable local benefits projects. Antonio has worked across the energy, healthcare, information and communications technology, mining, and water sectors. His projects have included work with multinational and Brazilian companies such as AGC Group, EBX Group, ETH Energia, Freeport, Hitachi International, Nextel, and Schahin Group, in projects involving stakeholder consultation, materiality analysis, design and implementation of sustainability policies, social and environmental risk analysis, and social investment  monitoring and planning.

Previously, Antonio worked with major Brazilian NGOs and government agencies in partnership with international agencies such as the Canadian International Agency, Instituto Socioambiental, Legambiente, Rotary International, and the Swedish International Agency.

Antonio is associated with several international networks, including Leadership for Environment and Development Program (U.K.), Salzburg Global Seminar (Austria), and Global Public Policies Institute (Germany).

Antonio specialized in International Studies for Development at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and has a PhD from the University of Campinas in Environment and Society, with a focus on international sustainability conferences and governance.

He speaks Portuguese, English, Spanish, and French.
