Prior to joining BSR, Katie spent five years at Urban Green Council, the New York chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council. During her time at Urban Green, she worked with the New York City Mayor’s Office to green the city’s building codes, launched a national green training program for professionals in the construction industry, and published research on how to reduce the city’s carbon emissions by 2050. Katie also previously lived in Guatemala City and worked for UPAVIM, a women’s cooperative and elementary school. She now serves on UPAVIM’s Board of Directors.
Katie holds an M.S. in Development Practice from U.C. Berkeley and a B.A. in Economics and Art and Art History from Bucknell University.
