Cameron Steagall

Cameron supports BSR’s transportation and green freight team by working with the Clean Cargo, Sustainable Air Freight Alliance, and Future of Fuels collaborative initiatives. He also assists in researching and advising for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team.

Prior to joining BSR, Cameron worked with the Port of Stockton on port modernization, the Blue Economy, and low- and zero-emission fuels. He also worked with the Naval Postgraduate School, Ocean Conservancy, and the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES). In these roles, he researched and developed best practices for climate change adaptation, advised stakeholders on innovative solutions, and engaged public and private sector stakeholders in the development of environmental initiatives. He also issued white papers for Ocean Conservancy, the U.S. Navy, and the Port of Stockton. In addition, Cameron has six years of experience as an executive assistant and diversity and inclusion specialist in New York City, with a specific focus on implementing best practices and driving change. 

Cameron holds an M.A. in International Environmental Policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from the University of South Carolina. He speaks English and Spanish.
