Urvashi specializes in guiding companies on their sustainability journey and collaborates with companies from diverse industries. In particular, she leads BSR's reporting practice, including our Future of Reporting collaborative initiative.
Previously, she worked in non-credit risk advisory at Capital One and launched a Sustainable Investing Program at RFK Center, helping asset allocators incorporate ESG criteria into their strategies and practices. Earlier in her career at the NYC EDC, Urvashi led research and analysis to assess development policies and programs. She has taught graduate courses in sustainability economics and finance at Columbia University.
A New Yorker, born in Kashmir, India, she holds an MPA from Columbia University and an MA from Delhi School of Economics. Urvashi is a member board of directors, Asia Initiatives and executive committee, Center for India Studies, and leads fundraising at Indo American Arts Council.
Besides her passion for ESG, she loves painting, upcycling, dancing and dogs.
