Satoshi works with BSR member companies across industries on sustainability management. He also supports the Japan Sustainability Strategy Working Group.
Satoshi comes to BSR with experience in international development on labor issues, cross-border business consulting, and supply chain management. Prior to joining BSR, Satoshi worked as a project and research manager at PwC, advising companies on cross-border M&A, compliance and market expansion, and providing insights on macroeconomy and policies in China. Previously, Satoshi worked as a project and communication intern at the ILO Cambodia where he assisted in life skills and entrepreneurship trainings for marginalized communities, while he also conducted research on social protection in informal economy with the ILO headquarters. Satoshi also worked as a supply chain management staff at a trading and investment company, where he assisted in managing garment production, sourcing, shipping, and occupational safety and health at factories on site based in Vietnam and Indonesia.
Satoshi holds a Master in Development Studies from Geneva Graduate Institute with the focus on labor policy and a Bachelor of Laws from Keio University. He speaks Japanese, English and Mandarin Chinese fluently as well as Korean and French at an intermediate level.
