Ayesha works with BSR member companies at the intersection of technology and human rights, helping align company actions and strategies with international human rights standards.

Prior to joining BSR, Ayesha worked on digital rights issues with the Yale-Wikimedia Initiative on Intermediaries and Information, a research initiative that aims to raise awareness of threats to an open internet. Ayesha previously worked at the United Nations Global Compact headquarters, where she managed a range of projects advancing business adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) worldwide. Ayesha began her career in India, where she practiced commercial law before transitioning to a career in international development and human rights. She currently serves as a member of the American Bar Association’s International Human Rights Committee.

Ayesha holds a LLM in International Law from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and a law degree from the National University of Juridical Sciences in India. She is fluent in English and Hindi and is conversational in Urdu.
