#Inclusive Economy

The recent U.S. election represented a cry for change from large numbers of Americans who feel that the existing economic system does not work for them. Addressing inclusive economic growth is clearly a political and economic necessity in the United States—and building an inclusive economy should be a more explicit part of companies’ sustainability strategies. This means more attention to maintaining quality employment in the face of automation and globalization, addressing income inequality and stagnating wages, and ensuring all Americans have access to affordable products and services and employment opportunities, regardless of where they live.

In this webinar, we will explore BSR’s framework to drive business leadership for an inclusive economy and urgent inclusion issues affecting the United States, including:

  • An overview of the core business challenges driving wage stagnation, income inequality, and job availability, accessibility, and quality
  • The need for products and services that can rebuild both poor and marginalized communities and the struggling middle class in the United States
  • Cases of business actions that are promoting more inclusive economic growth in the United States.

Speakers

  • Susan Winterberg, Associate Director, Inclusive Economy, BSR
  • Laura Gitman, Senior Vice President, BSR
