#Circular Economy

Developing a circular economy could save hundreds of billions of dollars in material costs, as the Ellen MacArthur Foundation has highlighted. Consumer products, motor vehicles, heavy equipment, and electronics are among the industries with the greatest possibilities to benefit. To achieve this, however, we face a challenging transition that requires more than just reducing waste and increasing recycling: It demands redesign and reevaluation of raw materials, products, production systems, value chains, and business models.

BSR and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation have partnered to encourage this transition and help companies realize these opportunities. Join us for a webinar to discuss the benefits and challenges of a circular economy, and the launch of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s CE100 U.S. affiliate network, which will bring together companies and other organizations to accelerate the transition to a circular economy.

Speakers

  • Jean-Charles Guinot, CE100 Business Programme Manager, Ellen MacArthur Foundation
  • David Lear, Executive Director, Sustainability, Dell
  • Marshall Chase, Former Associate Director, BSR
