Center for Technology and Sustainability

Advancing the deployment of technology solutions that address humanity’s most pressing environmental challenges

Overview

Introduction

Despite the enormous potential for information and communications technology (ICT) to address environmental challenges—from water scarcity to climate change—the full scope of these benefits has yet to be realized. The Center for Technology and Sustainability is a cross-sector initiative linking the users and developers of technology to scale sustainability solutions.

Our Mission

Encourage the successful adoption and credible impact measurement of sustainability solutions in a variety of industries.

Our Accomplishments

  • We completed impact measurement pilots, on e-health, remote education, and transport optimization.
  • We hosted a multi-stakeholder convening of parties interested in pursuing credible measurement approaches.

Why Join?

The Center for Technology and Sustainability is launching new pilots and looking for partners that:

  • Have implemented a technology solution and would like to measure total impact (to the business, society, and the environment)
  • Have an opportunity to advance sustainability using technology and need support to build the business case
