The successful applicant of the Sustainability Manager role will support the Global Sustainability Vice President and wider team with the ongoing development, monitoring, evaluation and implementation of the sustainability strategy and lead on writing up the Swarovski Sustainability Report on an annual basis.

Main duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Global Sustainability Strategy and Implementation Support
  • Work closely with the Vice President of Sustainability to evolve and implement the strategy across the business
  • Identify and prepare for detailed improvement targets across the business
  • Prepare plans and projects for Executive Board approval and support all other governance requirements
  • Work closely with the team to improve operational and product sustainability performance
  • Identify and support implementation of best practices
  • Work closely with the team on data collection and management – helping to develop and implement a sustainability data management system + user training
  • Work closely with the team to develop a portfolio of suppliers of best available / most responsible materials
  • Prepare, project manage and write up annual sustainability report and GRI index
  • Prepare, project manage and write up for the UNGC and all other reporting requirements
  • Work with Atelier Swarovski to develop their sustainability plan around using the best available materials for jewellery, home products, architecture and design, accessories and packaging
  • Work closely with the team to support engagement with all business units as required
  • Provide environmental support and advice across the business
  • Work closely with the team on improving policies and practices across internal production centres and external supply chain
  • Develop business cases for new sustainability commitments and activities
  • Identify upcoming legislative requirements across all regions and advise on compliance
  • Identify and support the engagement of key stakeholders
  • Support opportunities to raise awareness of the company’s sustainability commitments internally and externally
  • Support ongoing development of team objectives and activities

  • Support ongoing evolution and implementation of the sustainability strategy and targets

  • Support ongoing evolution of Atelier Swarovski’s sustainability plan
  • Support the business’ ongoing use of the best available materials
  • Write up Swarovski Sustainability Report and fulfill all reporting requirements on an annual basis

The ideal candidate will have the following skill set and experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in corporate sustainability, report writing, data management and responsible sourcing
  • Highly experienced within the jewelry sector
  • English speaking essential, german speaking desirable
  • Degree or equivalent (Master’s preferred) in relevant subject – e.g. sustainable development, environmental science, social sciences, economics.
