at Human Rights Campaign

Job Description

Position Summary

The Senior Director will join the leadership team of the Human Rights Campaign Foundation and deliver programming that advances LGBTQ+ equity in the U.S. and globally.

The HRC Foundation centers its work through 11 programs and initiatives; the Senior Director leads and manages programs focused on institutional change and advocacy around public policy, including HRC’s Workplace Equality Program, Health and Aging Program and Global Partnerships Program. The Senior Director provides oversight and thought leadership to support the four program leaders and staff in innovating and evaluating their programs.

The Senior Director ensures the delivery of strategic benchmarking tools like the Corporate Equality Index and Healthcare Equality Index and plays a key role in the development of new tools.

In partnership with organizational leadership, the Senior Director identifies and seizes new opportunities to deepen the Foundation’s work to support LGBTQ+ leaders in the U.S. and around the globe whose work benefits communities most impacted by bias and injustice.

The Senior Director works cross-organizationally to raise resources to support related Foundation programs, communicate the impact of the programmatic work, and ensure our programs further HRC’s commitment to social, economic, and racial justice and align with organizational priorities.
