Roles & Responsibilities

Innovation and Research

  • Research industry trends, NGO campaigns, and other related news in the media
  • Maintain client and 3rd Party Service Provider relationships
  • Maintain relationships with AAFA, SAC, BSR, relevant government and non-government organizations

Operations

  • Review data available corporately as it relates to sustainability, quality and compliance through collaborations with cross-functional partners
  • Review reports of departmental activities on a weekly, monthly and annual basis and confirm accuracy before distribution
  • Manage and implement systems and tools to collect and report out data related to departmental activities

Sustainability

  • Manage Corporate Sustainability Strategy
  • Implement tactical goals with cross functional teams across all companies
  • Assist in developing Corporate Sustainability policies based on business requirements and industry best practice
  • HIGG Index Implementation and Compliance
  • Manage Sustainability data requirements and programs
  • Manage factory sustainability matrix for all customers, brands and companies
  • Implement corporate and customer Sustainability required policies

Quality Assurance/Compliance

  • Oversee assembly and maintenance of departmental expense reports and records including travel and visa requirements
  • Manage timely cadence and distribution of quality and compliance reporting

Customers & Relationships

  • Work closely with customers sustainability teams
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external 3rd party service providers, vendors, trading partners & factories
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal departments: Production, Sourcing, Imports, Brand Marketing, Logistics and Human Resources

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Working knowledge of retail/brand Sustainability programs
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with Sustainability systems
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Retail Apparel environment
  • Working knowledge of Quality Assurance and Social Compliance Programs
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyze large, complex, multi-dimensional data sets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, challenging environment.
  • Detail oriented and able to multi-task
  • Ability to manage a team effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to communicate clearly to cross functional partners

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize
