Description

The position resides within the American Express Office of Corporate Social Responsibility, which leads the company’s Good Citizenship efforts worldwide, including its charitable giving, employee engagement (e.g., volunteering, fundraising) and environmental sustainability programs.

This individual will provide administrative support to a Vice President and a Director and will support program activities within the Office of Corporate Social Responsibility. The individual regularly interfaces with external and internal constituencies of all levels concerning the company’s charitable giving programs and community investment initiatives.

Responsibilities include fielding and screening phone calls, scheduling and calendar management, document preparation, filing, travel arrangements, expense reporting, meeting organization and general administrative support. In addition, the individual will take part in the grant administration process including reviewing of grant requests, processing grant payments and data entry, as well as periodic project work to support team activities.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of administrative experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, self starter
  • High degree of diplomacy for interactions with external and internal contacts
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Significant experience with Word, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel online interactive tools (XMS, CTO, etc.).
  • Ability to prepare/enhance PowerPoint presentations, including graphics/charts.
  • Ability to manage travel arrangements and prepare expense vouchers
  • Ability to organize and manage calls/meetings across multiple time zones
  • Ability to review financial data and track payments
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures a plus *Overtime flexibility
