AVEVA’s Sustainability team drives sustainability strategy, programs and engagement across the company, including working closely with our product teams to create industrial software that inspires our customers to transform the environmental and social impacts of their business. You will focus specifically on AVEVA’s Environmental, Social and Governance reporting and non-financial disclosures. As our ESG Sr. Analyst you will partner with teams from across the company to shape our disclosure roadmap and help us show measurable progress against our ESG commitments and key benchmarks over time. You will have the opportunity to learn about the full breadth of our rapidly growing technology business as you build relations with functional experts who work across our suite of material ESG issues, which include Sustainability Solutions, Responsible Technology Design & Use, Security & Privacy, Climate Risk & Resilience, GHG Footprint (Scope 1, 2, 3), Business Ethics, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Workforce Development and Employee Wellbeing. You will also take ownership of the design and management of data collection processes we use to support our reporting framework requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES: You will do

  • Support the implementation of AVEVA’s sustainability reporting strategy, including coordinating updates to our materiality assessment and project managing data and stories for our sustainability report and website.
  • Manage an annual cadence of ESG disclosures working with functional leads from our cross-functional ESG working group to collect and validate ESG performance data for key surveys.
  • Support our ESG Compliance workstream by developing a data quality assurance process to ensuring data collected and provided and reported is of auditable quality.
  • Develop performance improvement strategies and targets for our prioritized list of sustainability/ESG indices based on independent analysis and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Represent the company in external forums related to ESG reporting and provide recommendations for how emerging trends and/or regulations should inform AVEVA’s non-financial reporting practices and priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS: You will have

  • 3+ years of communications experience reporting against sustainability and ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, CDP, TCFD)
  • Familiarity with process and expectations of sustainability rating agencies, rankings and indices (i.e. Sustainalytics, MSCI, DJSI, FTSE4GOOD, ISS, Ecovadis, etc.)
  • Experience with materiality assessments, corporate ESG data collection and development of a corporate sustainability report required; data assurance experience a strong plus
  • Experience with high tech/software companies preferred; experience with companies in industries supported by AVEVA (e.g. CPG, Food & Bev, Infrastructure, Energy) a plus
  • Designed and implemented new cross-functional processes and excels at cross-functional project management
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of internal and external groups and someone who enjoys the challenge of achieving alignment between different stakeholder viewpoints
  • Robust data analysis and visualization skills
