Unit Description

Sodexo has an exciting Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Analyst position now available. This position is preferably based at HQ in Gaithersburg, MD.

The CSR & Sustainability Analyst will be responsible for the following:

Country Inventory & KPIs: gather and report indicators on corporate policies and procedures for annual Group process including commenting on indicators and KPIs in draft and final forms and liaising with internal audit. It also entails liaison and coordination with various business groups across the enterprise.

Site Survey & KPIs: help construct, deploy, support, collate and liaise with internal audit around the annual site survey.

Roadmap & Dashboard Integration: Under guidance of Manager, compile Roadmap document for Group and meet the necessary requirements for global reporting.

On-going Data Analysis, Reports & Presentations: Using data collected for the Country and Site surveys, as well as from additional tools andcreate summary data reports that will be used for national, regional and local presentations for both internal and external audiences.

The preferred candidate will have the following background / skillset:

  • 1-2 years of experience managing large / complex databases
  • Bachelors Degree in a related field preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with a customer service focus
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • Must be able to work independently; must be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail & analysis with reporting experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individually and with others
  • Strong time management skills and ability to effectively resolve problems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Background in sustainability preferred, but not required.

Position Summary

Directs, designs and implements external and internal engagement plans to support Sodexo’s brand and strategy including sustainability, wellbeing and community development, and coordinates efforts with departments focusing on health and wellness, diversity and ending hunger and malnutrition. Identifies, establishes and manages relationships with nongovernmental organizations, trade organizations and other stake holders groups. Monitors and tracks internal and external activities to demonstrate ROI. Provides corporate citizenship publications, public speaking forums and works with the corporate communications teams on media relations. Serves as a spokesman including delivering speeches and presentations to internal and external audiences. Coordinates activities including communications for special events such as Earth Day, World Environment Day and other events

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s degree
  • Basic Functional Experience - 2 years of professional experience in sustainable business, corporate social responsibility, green building or sustainable food systems either in a business or non-profit setting
