Overview

  • The Real Estate Services team leverages emerging trends and identifies areas of opportunity that deliver a competitive advantage for MasterCard. This is accomplished by optimizing costs, ensuring quality, and driving towards continuous improvement to meet business requirements.
  • The Real Estate Services organization comprises Facility Management, Project Management, Transaction Management, Lease Administration and Environmental oversight, and is on a journey to be recognized as a premier Real Estate Services organization.
  • Provide environmental leadership, strategy, and oversight to ensure integration and collaboration among real estate service lines and across other business areas.
  • Benchmark and recommend word-class environmental initiatives as they pertain to the built environment.
  • Integrate efforts with other business units, such as Human Resources, Travel, and Health & Safety to offer a cohesive and holistic environmental path to reflect and support senior management’s strategic business initiatives .

  • Are you comfortable conducting visioning exercises across service lines and business units to identify and attain a common goal?

Role

  • Develop, communicate, and implement an achievable environmental plan in partnership with global and regional leadership.
  • Collaborate with all Real Estate Service lines to identify and implement word-class environmental policies and procedures for Transaction, Project, and Facility management, while respecting local customs and best practices in regional markets.
  • Identify and manage requisite service providers to quantify, target areas of improvement, and ensure the integrity of environmental reporting. These metrics will include, but are not limited to, carbon emissions, waste, electricity, gas and water consumption, and region-specific building certification programs.
  • Initiate programs and policies consistent with Mastercard’s strategic business initiatives to reduce their global environmental footprint, promote conservation efforts, and foster and engage cross-departmental support.
  • Serve as the internal thought leader on trends and technologies in environmental sustainability.

All About You

  • Tenured understanding of environmental sustainability as a discipline, its influence on the built environment, and relevant programs to provide cost-effective mitigation strategies.
  • Strong working knowledge of all real estate service lines and their subsequent impacts on the environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience creating and delivering presentations, with a demonstrated comfort level speaking to small and medium sized groups across all levels of management.
  • Comfortable and successful at interacting with diverse cultures and individuals.
  • Ability to educate, persuade, and inspire people into action.
  • Experience working in a large corporate environment.
  • CFM, LEED GA or LEED AP a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Execel and Powerpoint)
