About the position

The Analyst will work closely with Context consultants to serve clients and develop compelling communications and sound strategy. As an integral part of the team, the Analyst will be expected to bring new ideas, enthusiasm and creativity to the role and provide support to the team as needed. This is an ideal opportunity for a hard-working individual with a passion for sustainability to work with a team of sustainability professionals and leading corporations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sustainability Reporting – Conduct analytical research, support strategic planning, and draft corporate sustainability reports and other sustainability communications.
  • Communications Strategy – Help devise and implement internal and external sustainability communications strategies for clients, using all media. In particular, the Analyst should have experience with creative and digital communications and be ready to contribute to these types of projects.
  • Project Management Support - Assist with project management responsibilities (as appropriate) through diligent note-taking for client meetings, determining clear action items, scheduling meetings and proofreading deliverables, as needed.
  • Client Management – Support client directors and project managers to facilitate excellent client relationships and deliver superior work.
  • Marketing - Support Context America’s own social media efforts in collaboration with London team.
  • Business Development – Support the development of new business opportunities by contributing to proposal development and pitching Context to potential clients.

Candidate Requirements

  • Approximately 1-3 years of professional experience required with previous experience working in communications, corporate sustainability or management consulting preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree, ideally in a related discipline (e.g. communications, business, environmental studies, policy, media studies)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; an ability to write clearly in U.S. English under strict time constraints.
  • A passion for sustainability and a desire to be fluent in the full range of corporate sustainability issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • A keen interest in business and an understanding of the corporate world.
  • A self-starter who is equally comfortable working collaboratively as they are driving forward personal projects and deadlines.
  • An outgoing personality with a knack for relationship building and passion for client service.
  • A full understanding of digital communications and social media.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Authorized to work in the United States for at least 5 years.
