T works with BSR members interested in social justice advocacy and the implementation of justice frameworks across industries. In particular, T works on projects that integrate equity, inclusion, and justice into member education, dynamics, and outputs.
Prior to joining BSR, T served as the Director of the LGBTQ+ Center and was part of the affiliate faculty of the Gender, Women and Sexuality Studies department at the University of Washington, where reproductive justice provided the foundation for the work. They also served as an equity specialist, implementing state legislative grants for the Black Student Success Plan.
T also worked as a Racial Justice Program Manager at Western States Center, where they developed and implemented political education training for community organizers. T also worked on a research project exploring the socio-economic implications of health, housing, and transportation for the Multnomah County Environmental Health Department.
T holds a BS in Interpersonal and Public Communication with a minor in Political Science from Mississippi College, a MA in Urban Affairs with a focus on career entry and sustainability for marginalized communities from Norfolk State University, and an EdD with a focus on educational activism from the University of Portland.
