He advises companies on identifying and prioritizing material issues within their supply chains and helps them manage those issues to help business grow while positively impacting both people and planet.
Michele’s career began with agricultural field work as a Peace Corps volunteer in Nicaragua. After working in R&D departments at DuPont, Pinnacle Foods, and Danone, Michele transitioned to procurement roles at General Mills. He has also worked on emissions reduction strategies and animal welfare risk management for the General Mills global sustainability team. In 2018, Michele authored a chapter on food and agriculture for the textbook Foundations for Global Health Practice.
Michele holds an M.S. in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and a B.S. in Food Science and Nutrition from Drexel University.
