Before BSR, Justine was a litigation lawyer in Sydney with a substantive human rights practice and was appointed as manager of her law firm’s responsible business program. As a human rights lawyer, she led the firm’s involvement in all major projects, providing strategic oversight and high-level advice on human rights issues. She received Australia’s Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Pro Bono Award in 2016 and was named Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year by the CBP Foundation. She also worked in legal and governance at the UN Global Compact in New York, engaging the private sector on the rule of law.
Justine holds a B.A. in Law from Paris XII University, a Diploma in Law from the University of Sydney, and an L.L.M. in Human Rights and Social Justice from the University of New South Wales.
