John applies his public-policy, strategy, and cause-marketing experience to his role leading BSR’s reporting efforts for Asia. He also advises healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, media, and technology companies across BSR’s global network.
Previously, John spent several years with the United Nations in New York advising delegations on issues of post-conflict peacebuilding, sexual exploitation, and minority rights. His private-sector work with N.M. Incite, an A.C. Nielsen and McKinsey joint venture, centered on creating social media strategies for public sector clients. In China, John has worked with both Chinese and multinational firms to generate innovative marketing approaches for social responsibility. John also explores grassroots sustainability in China on his blog “John’s Little Green Book.”
John holds an M.A. in Political Science and Advanced Degree in the Study of International Organizations, both from Long Island University, as well as a B.A. in International Politics from California State University, Long Beach.
