Amanda works on supply chain sustainability with a focus on consumer products. She specializes in food, beverage, and agriculture, and she is interested in the role of business in upholding labor standards and promoting sustainable development.
Prior to joining BSR, Amanda worked at the intersection of human rights and socially responsible business. She has in-house experience developing processes and leading core business functions, including supply chain, logistics, planning, production, operations, and finance in the beverage industry. In addition, Amanda has worked on implementing traceability and sustainability initiatives, responsible sourcing practices, and obtaining certifications. She has worked or lived in El Salvador, Ghana, Peru, Spain, Thailand, and the U.K., giving her an international perspective on sustainability challenges and economic development. Amanda also spent several years working for a nonprofit focused on anti-trafficking, where she worked with companies to assess risk and incorporate social responsibility into their business practices.
Amanda holds an MBA and an M.S. in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford as well as a B.S. in Commerce from Santa Clara University.
