With a strong background in labor standards and ethical trading management systems, Jean-Baptiste brings a unique perspective to BSR's work on social performance issues. He is particularly interested in helping organizations work with stakeholders to improve working conditions throughout their operations and supply chains.
Jean-Baptiste supports the HERproject--a BSR initiative that addresses women's health needs in global supply chains--by leading its expansion in the agricultural sector.
Prior to joining BSR, Jean-Baptiste served as a staff consultant for Ergon Associates, a U.K.-based labor issues consultancy. His range of experience includes helping multi-stakeholder initiatives develop sound ethical management systems, improving companies' monitoring mechanisms and making reporting more useful, conducting social audits and labour impact assessments, developing tools to help organizations implement their sustainability standards, and conducting in-depth field research in employment and decent working conditions for international organizations. Jean-Baptiste also worked for the International Labor Office in Dakar, investing child labor issues in Senegal and Burkina Faso.
Jean-Baptiste holds an M.A. in CSR management from Paris XII University and two LL.M. (Master of Laws) from Pantheon-Sorbonne University and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
