BSR's event in London will offer an interactive opportunity to meet BSR experts who lead our work with corporate practitioners, including our recent research reports on public policy for, private sector uptake of, and corporate performance around ecosystem services.
We will review potential areas of integration with business decision-making processes as well as recent BSR research on scenarios for how ecosystem services issues are likely to play out in the coming years. Participants will also learn about BSR’s Ecosystem Services Working Group, which offers a forum for peer learning and provides research insights as this area of work continues to evolve.
The event will address the following key questions:
- Why an ecosystem services assessment offers a more complete picture of companies’ environmental and social risks as well as opportunities?
- What corporate applications are underway today, from integration into accounting through risk management and impact assessment protocols?
- Why companies are engaging with ecosystem services?
Speakers
- Sissel Waage, Ph.D., BSR's Director, Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services
- Kit Armstrong, formerly of Chevron and currently with BSR's Ecosystem Services Working Group
