Increasingly, companies in the food, beverage, and agriculture (FBA) sector are investing in local sourcing and, as a result, developing new types of partnerships with suppliers. The benefits of this trend include stronger supplier relationships, which can build trust, help guarantee supply, improve product quality, and support sustainable development.
However, these efforts tend to be fragmented, sometimes fortuitous, and limited to single commodities. Companies are increasingly taking local sourcing strategies to scale, across their product portfolios in order to maximize business and societal value over the short, medium, and long terms.
The purpose of this full-day session with FBA companies is to:
- Discuss the business, environmental, and social value which is being captured through local sourcing
- Understand current and potential strategies and tactics to maximize potential value creation from local sourcing
Download a draft agenda. Final agenda with full speaker list will be sent to participants prior to the event.
Who Should Attend?
This session is open to CSR practitioners from FBA companies and food value chain actors across Europe, Middle East, and Africa. It will be designed as an interactive session based around practical case examples.
Please feel free to forward this invitation to a colleague who may be interested.
