As pressure from NGOs increases, government regulation expands, and business’ search widens for strategic sustainable investments in the supply chain, the Mills & Sundries Working Group has been developing a new approach to old questions.
Building on the working group’s strong foundation of common principles, joint assessment tools, supplier performance tiers, and transparency and information sharing, we will now use this work to enhance our net positive impact with Tier 2+ garment suppliers.
In January 2013, we will launch our new approach, including:
- Facilitating supplier ownership through supplier leadership, providing suppliers with explicit ownership of the working group
- Exploring brand integration specifically focused on leveraging our Supplier Performance Tiers
- Working on material issues with a subset of engaged Tier 2-5 suppliers and measuring progress over time
Register for this informational session to learn about the opportunity to join other brands to address deeper levels of the supply chain and measure impact along the way.
Format
The webinar will involve a teleconference accompanied by a real-time, internet-based presentation using WebEx. Telephone and login instructions will be sent following registration.
