Last week, we released the results from the fourth annual BSR/GlobeScan poll of business leaders on the state of sustainable business, including how far we've come in the past 20 years and key areas of focus going forward. For the second year in a row, respondents identified integration of sustainability into core operations as the most important leadership challenge.
When asked what their companies' sustainability priorities will be for the next 12 months, respondents selected human rights, workers' rights, and climate change as major areas. Although these are consistent with our 2011 findings, workers' rights has replaced climate change as the second-greatest priority, even though two-thirds of respondents still selected it as a prime concern.
