Where BSR Will Be in September
Summer is over for BSR staff in the Northern Hemisphere with September shaping up to be a packed month. Here are a few of the places we’ll be and events we’re hosting. We hope to see you there!
Where We’re Speaking
President and CEO Aron Cramer will be in Dalian, China, for the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting of New Champions, September 14 to 16.
Vice President Kara Hurst has a busy month, speaking at the Unilever Sustainability Forum in New Jersey on September 13, the COMMIT!Forum in New York, September 26 and 27, and the Enablon Sustainable Performance 2011 in Chicago, September 29 and 30.
Europe Director Farid Baddache will chair the Foodnews Sustainability in the Food Supply Chain 2011 in London on September 20 to 22.
What We’re Hosting
The BSR CiYuan team is hosting two events in September: a corporate-NGO dialogue to discuss how business can evaluate and improve their environmental footprint and a roundtable with guest speakers from the PepsiCo Foundation and Tencent Foundation on the interaction between the responsible company and its corporate foundation. On September 23, our Paris office will hold a full-day session on Payments for Ecosystem Services in Agriculture, with a focus on available models, practical examples, and opportunities for innovation.
Working with Greenpeace East Asia and ChemSec, we’re offering a half-day event on Hazardous Chemicals Substitution and Elimination in Shenzhen, China, on September 27.
From September 27 to 29 in Milan, Research Manager Linda Hwang will be co-leading BSR’s Ecosystem Services, Tools & Markets Working Group’s invitation-only annual roundtable on emerging ecosystem services policies, markets, and measurement and valuation tools.
BSR members are also invited to join our Sustainability Matters webinar Business in Society: Trends and Themes in Global Public Opinion that will look at insights from the most recent GlobeScan global attitudes tracking.
