Where BSR Will Be in June
June is shaping up to be a busy month for BSR staff around the world. Here’s a few of the place we’ll be—and events we’re hosting. We hope to see you there!
Where We’re Speaking:
On June 2, Aron Cramer will be at the Global Business Coalition’s Annual Conference in New York, speaking on “Human Sustainability: Why Health is the Anchor of CSR.”
The same day, Laura Gitman will be just a few blocks away leading a workshop on portfolio guidance and benchmarking at the PEI Responsible Investment Forum. Then she’ll be talking to students at the NYU Wagner School on June 6.
Pei Bin will be speaking on corporate-NGO partnerships at the China Children and Teenagers' Fund 30-Year Anniversary International Forum on June 8
On June 10, you’ll find Eric Olson discussing innovations in product design and recycling at the Sustainable Brands Conference in Monterey, California.
Aron Cramer will give the keynote address at the American Society for Quality’s Pathways to Social Responsibility Conference in San Francisco on June 17.
What We’re Hosting:
Our Europe, Middle East, and Africa team invites you to breakfast on June 7 at our Paris office for a lively discussion on stakeholder engagement.
We’re hosting the HERproject Annual Convening on June 8 and 9 in Jakarta, Indonesia, where international brands, factories, NGOs, and other stakeholders will discuss workplace women’s health education programs in Indonesia and around the world.
On June 13, the Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association and BSR—in collaboration with Hasbro, NBC Universal, The Walt Disney Company, and Time Warner—are organizing a seminar in Las Vegas to promote greater understanding of social and environmental standards in the licensing industry.
Julia Nelson, Tiffany Finley, Helen Zhang, and Fengyuan Wang will be leading the Apparel, Mills & Sundries Working Group Meeting in Hong Kong on June 16 and 17.
On June 22, BSR members are invited to join Aron Cramer for a Sustainability Matters webinar on the BSR Report 2010, which will be published on June 7. (Members can also register for upcoming or watch on-demand past Sustainability Matters webinars online.)
Wrapping up the month, BSR and Microfinance Opportunities is hosting a virtual roundtable on financial inclusion on June 23.
