Role

Add to that the tremendous geographical coverage of this Region and you have a strategic role which is truly varied. In view of Southeast Asia’s growth, we are now looking a Senior Manager, International Labor Standards who will act as primary point of contact for DCP SEA with the global and regional ILS teams to reinforce and ensure a high level of accountability amongst local teams in ILS operations standards for all Disney entities in Southeast Asia. This will include partnering closely with Senior Leaders in the region with training the market, licensees and Disney cast members on ILS policies and guidelines.

Focus

  • Engage with relevant business groups across Southeast Asia on ILS issues, including the development of plans and strategies for implementing and managing ILS policies, requirements and initiatives. The engagement commences with all business verticals and spans across licensees, vendors and factories across the Southeast region.
  • Identify ILS risks and opportunities specific to business operations in the assigned markets and ensure alignment of business practices and operations with ILS objectives.
  • Develop and implement activities, tools and initiatives that will improve the performance of licensees, vendors and facilities against ILS through close collaboration with internal business teams, ensuring accountability mechanisms are set in place.
  • Facilitate communication of ILS-related information to all internal and external stakeholders in the assigned markets, working collaboratively to help ensure consistency of messages in assigned markets, internally and externally.
  • Engage external stakeholders and participate in brand collaboration initiatives through identifying and building partnerships with NGOs and multilateral organizations in the assigned markets as agreed with ILS leadership.
  • Provide market and regional insights to support the identification, development and management of ILS social investment projects and act as the local ILS lead for project implementation.

Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Corporate Social Responsibility, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of industry experience in ILS, corporate responsibility and ethical sourcing, with an excellent record of achievement in multinational organizations.
  • Strong stakeholder management, able to engage with international and multi-cultural teams and stakeholders
  • Experience in navigating a matrix, geographically dispersed organization and successfully influencing key internal and external partners.  Resilience to work in a highly complex project environment, prioritize and multi-task, and achieve results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management, both internal and external.  Strong ability to shape the role as they go, self-starter and ability to work within ambiguity while charting the path for the position
  • High proficiency in English language and able to communicate in one other language relevant to the market.
