Introducing the New “Scope 3” Supply Chain Greenhouse Gas Inventory Standard

The long-awaited Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) standard for greenhouse gas accounting and reporting in supply chains and the product standard for greenhouse gas accounting & reporting in product lifecycles were released by the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) in October 2011. By taking into account the impacts both downstream and upstream and of company operations, businesses can make more sustainable decisions about the products they produce, buy, and sell. Join Pankaj Bhatia, WRI’s director of the GHG Protocol, to learn what the new standards are, the business case for using them, and how your company should move forward.
