Applying his extensive on-the-ground experience in developing countries, Ryan brings a unique perspective to BSR’s supply chain strategy work. As a manager in Advisory Services, he has led projects in CSR strategy, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable local benefits. He currently works primarily with companies in the food, beverage, and agriculture and consumer products industries to build more robust supply chain labor programs and develop corporate water strategies.
Ryan manages HERproject in Kenya—which focuses on women’s empowerment in agriculture—and BSR’s Sustainable Water Group, a company partnership committed to sustainable water management in apparel supply chains. He also played an integral role in BSR's recently completed DR-CAFTA Responsible Competitiveness Project.
Prior to joining BSR, Ryan worked with companies throughout North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean on small-business development and business training.
Ryan holds a B.A. in Spanish from Tulane University and an International M.B.A. from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. He has also studied at the Universidad Católica de Valparaíso in Chile and the Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil. Ryan is a recipient of the VEGA Service Impact Award and the President's Volunteer Service Award—Gold Level. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
