Laura Ediger

Laura works with companies in Asia to address corporate responsibility issues primarily in connection with localized strategies for sustainable sourcing, supplier assessment and development, and stakeholder and community engagement. She currently leads BSR’s work to design effective supplier evaluation and training programs at the farm level in China. Laura has also facilitated multi-stakeholder projects on environmental impacts related to manufacturing, transportation, and agriculture.

Prior to joining BSR, Laura conducted research in China on land use, migration, forestry, and agriculture and was a research fellow at the Institute of Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in Beijing. Laura also worked as a consultant in Southeast Asia on the impacts of hydropower and the extractives industry, and has conducted research and project work in several countries for the World Agroforestry Centre, the Economist Intelligence Unit, and Oxfam America.

Laura holds a Ph.D. in Ecology from the University of Georgia.
