Jesse Nishinaga

With a strong background in corporate planning, operations, and strategy, Jesse helps companies integrate corporate responsibility into their core business models and define a value proposition that creates both a unique position with their customers and positive social change.

Prior to BSR, Jesse spent over six years working with a variety of Fortune 500 corporations—from Gap, Inc. to Johnson & Johnson and PepsiCo—where he developed comprehensive financial, product, and communications strategies, and managed teams and cross-functional efforts to optimize operational effectiveness. With a specific interest in global management, Jesse spent nearly three years working in Tokyo where he helped build Gap’s Japan business. While in Tokyo, Jesse also served as the founding president of Net Impact Tokyo, which provides a platform for local professionals to share innovative ideas and best practices on making a positive impact on society through the power of business.

Jesse holds an M.B.A. and B.S. from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, where he focused on strategic corporate responsibility and global management. He is proficient in Japanese.
