Brooke is responsible for driving BSR’s China- and Asia-focused development projects across three thematic areas: sustainable growth models in emerging economies, future of resource management, and inclusive economies. Over the past three years, Brooke has led the implementation of BSR’s CiYuan Initiative, which works to enhance the value of social investment in China through cross-sector partnerships.
Brooke also advises global business on building and improving strategic philanthropy programs and has worked with companies including Komatsu and Barrick Gold. She has helped companies like Marks and Spencer adapt global sustainability strategies and understand the local stakeholder environment in China.
Prior to joining BSR, Brooke was an AusAid Australian Youth Ambassador for Development in Beijing. Additionally, Brooke coordinated a post-graduate business course in China for the University of South Australia. She has also held several financial roles, including two years at General Motors (Holden).
Brooke holds a B.Com in Accounting and a Diploma in Languages in Mandarin from the University of Adelaide. She is fluent in Mandarin.
