Driving meaningful collaboration in the information technology sector to improve labor, ethics, and environmental standards.
In late 2003, eight pioneering companies collaborated to develop a standardized code of conduct for the electronic industry. Under BSR's guidance, the group formally organized and expanded its commitment to improving working conditions and environmental impacts in the rapidly growing sector.
Now, with more than 45 member companies, the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) has established itself as an independent organization and has made measurable strides in promoting sustainable practices throughout the global supply chain. With BSR’s facilitation and counsel, the EICC continues to create practical tools for addressing the most prominent issues in the industry.
