Jaewon works on projects in BSR’s growing Asia presence. In particular, she focuses on advisory service and project management in Korea and Japan.
Prior to joining BSR, Jaewon spent three years in Vietnam, where she established and managed an international migrant pre-departure education program for more than 10,000 participants. Jaewon also has worked for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Seoul, leading various projects and advising the government on immigration and labor issues. In this role, she also established government and civil society network relations, obtained resources and funding to build up female migrant and gender-based activities and programs, and helped organize several international conferences.
She speaks Korean, English, Japanese, and some Mandarin Chinese.
Jaewon holds an M.Sc. in Development Management from the London School of Economics. She also has a B.A. from Sungshin Women’s University in Seoul and an M.A. in Sociology from Yokohama National University in Japan.
