Diane takes the lead in moving global companies, multilateral institutions and NGOs worldwide toward sustainability. For the past two decades, her work has included everything from initiating codes of conduct and making the business case for poverty alleviation to creating groundbreaking multi-sector partnerships. Diane's work focuses on corporate strategy, creating new businesses offerings for underprivileged groups, future trends, food and agriculture, and the role of new media in sustainability.

As the head of BSR's CSR Strategy department, Diane integrates the efforts of the Research & Development, Grants, Communications, and Conference teams to deliver innovative projects and lasting impacts on environmental, human rights, economic development and governance issues.

Renowned in her field and widely published in both business and academic journals, Diane earned her doctorate in Environmental Economics and Development Studies at the London School of Economics, her M.Sc. in Development Studies (Economics) at the London School of Economics, and her B.A. in Economics at the University of San Francisco. She began her career as a portfolio manager at Merrill Lynch in Switzerland.
