An expert in innovation strategy and global public health, Mark brings design and systems thinking to his leadership of BSR's Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology practice. He helps clients differentiate and drive core business growth through initiatives that address challenges related to climate change, human rights, supply chain, and access to medicine. Mark also oversees BSR's Health Care Working Group and the Pharmaceuticals Supply Chain Initiative.

Prior to joining BSR, Mark worked as an innovation strategist at Monitor Innovation, a Monitor Group company, where he helped pharmaceutical and high-tech companies develop corporate innovation programs and launch new businesses.

Mark also brings to BSR a deep expertise in international public health. He has published several articles on his work with India's National AIDS Control Organization. In a more grassroots role, Mark worked as a social entrepreneur in the Philippines where, with funding from the Henry Luce Foundation, he built a community health clinic and also an apparel business on a trash dump in Manila.

Mark holds a B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and an M.Phil in International Development from the University of Oxford, St. Antony’s College, where he served as captain of the Men's First Eight Rowing Team.
