As the communications assistant in BSR's Beijing office, Julie supports BSR's targeted communications efforts to deliver compelling content to its many stakeholders. She is a key contributor to information research, content development, and knowledge management. She also manages updates to BSR's Chinese website and coordinates the communications efforts for all of BSR's offices in Asia.

Prior to joining BSR, Julie worked as the media and law coordinator and analyst for Internews Network, an international media development organization operating in more than 40 countries to promote access to information worldwide. In this role, she organized media trainings and salons on digital technology, media ethics, defamation, privacy, intellectual property rights, etc. She was also responsible for managing and editing an online resource center for Chinese journalists.

Julie holds a B.A. and M.S. in Media Law and Policy from Communication University of China. She has also attended international trainings abroad in Nepal, Turkey, and the U.K., and she is fluent in Mandarin.
